Uncover the Dark Side of Boston's Iconic Park

Boston Common, the oldest park in the United States, is a beloved public space with a rich history. But beneath its idyllic facade lies a darker side, a history of unsolved murders, tragic accidents, and sinister events that have haunted this iconic park for centuries.

'Boston Horrors: The Common' is a chilling true crime anthology that delves into the unsolved murders, tragic accidents, and sinister events that have haunted the Boston Common. From the mysterious disappearance of a young woman in the 19th century to the gruesome murder of a homeless man in the 21st century, this book uncovers the dark secrets of this beloved park.

Unsolved Murders and Mysterious Disappearances

The Boston Common has been the site of numerous unsolved murders and mysterious disappearances. One of the most famous cases is the disappearance of Mary Rogers, a young woman who vanished from the park in 1841. Her body was later found in the Hudson River, but her murder remains unsolved to this day.

Another unsolved murder is the case of the "Boston Strangler," who terrorized the city in the 1960s. Eleven women were strangled to death, and the killer was never caught.

Tragic Accidents and Suicides

The Boston Common has also been the site of numerous tragic accidents and suicides. In 1982, a young woman named Kristen Pfaff, the bassist for the band Hole, died of a heroin overdose in the park. In 1999, a man named David Gant jumped to his death from the Longfellow Bridge, which overlooks the park.

Sinister Events and Paranormal Activity

The Boston Common is also said to be haunted by the ghosts of those who have died there. Visitors have reported seeing strange lights, hearing disembodied voices, and feeling a sense of unease while walking through the park at night.

One of the most famous ghost stories associated with the Boston Common is the story of the "Lady in White." She is said to be the ghost of a young woman who was murdered in the park in the 19th century. Visitors have reported seeing her apparition dressed in a white gown, wandering through the park at night.

The Perfect Read for True Crime Enthusiasts and Boston History Buffs

'Boston Horrors: The Common' is a fascinating and unsettling true crime anthology that will appeal to true crime enthusiasts and Boston history buffs alike. This book will give you a new perspective on one of Boston's most beloved landmarks, and it will leave you wondering what dark secrets might still be lurking in the shadows.
