And All Things Fragile Fen is a lyrical and thought-provoking meditation on landscape and identity. It is poet and author Bridget Krone's moving and insightful account of a year spent living among the beautiful and vulnerable wetlands of the Norfolk Broads.
With close observation and lyrical prose, Krone explores the intersection of nature, history, and human experience in this unique and captivating landscape. She writes of the Broads' rich history, from its prehistoric origins to its role as a vital wetland ecosystem. She also explores the ways in which the Broads have shaped the lives of the people who live there, from the fishermen and farmers who have made their living from its waters to the artists and writers who have been inspired by its beauty.
And All Things Fragile Fen is a timely and important book. It is a reminder of the beauty and fragility of the natural world, and of the need to protect it. It is also a celebration of the human spirit, and of our ability to find connection and meaning in the natural world.
